Your favourite redhead photography project featuring notable models, actors, musicians, dancers and athletes from around the globe, including:
Daniel Newman (The Walking Dead), Nicola Roberts (Girls Aloud), Daniel Donskoy (Victoria), Edward Watson (Royal Ballet) Nathan Wyburn (contemporary artist) and international catwalk models Ken Bek, Gwilym Pugh, Jake Hold and many more (64 in total) each with a personal, insightful quote about growing up with red hair.
With foreword by Jacky Colliss Harvey (author of "Red - A History Of The Redhead") this exquisite coffee table book shows off the uniqueness of the redhead, focusing on fair, untanned skin and freckles. This book is the second instalment in the Red Hot series that looks at the beauty and intrigue of this rare hair colour. Here, the subjects are stylised as Greek sculpture or in the Baroque tradition, emulating the chiarosucro effect found prominently in Caravaggio paintings.
“Red Hot II is about celebrating difference. It’s empowering - owning socially perceived flaws and being comfortable in your own skin.” Photographer and creative director, Thomas Knights
The project has inspired a wider positive movement for redheads worldwide. Recently the work was exhibited at Beers Gallery London https://vimeo.com/199452567 and had previously been seen around the world including New York, Berlin, Sydney and The Netherlands.
The project has raised over £58,000 so far for various charities and good causes with sales of the Red Hot II art book benefiting The Diana Awards and their anti-bullying initiative.
